Abstract

BlockVerse is a mobile first application designed to provide a single platform solution for secure identity and access management across Metaverse environments. By leveraging blockchain technology, it is built on a decentralized framework that enables users to manage digital identities while ensuring privacy and data integrity. Due to its user-friendly interface, BlockVerse allows users to seamlessly create and manage self- sovereign identities (SSI), thereby enabling secure interactions across multiple platforms. We have integrated wallet-based user authentication, user account registration and recovery, and access policy management to control personal data. BlockVerse adopts a hybrid model that includes both on-chain access control logic and off-chain data storage for non-sensitive data. A prototype of this application has also been developed, implemented, and evaluated in a controlled test environment. The results indicate that BlockVerse can be a future solution for identity and access management in Metaverse environments.
