Purpose: This paper investigated the effect of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) on organizational performance with reference to innovation and quality management as the mediators.
Design/Methodology/Approach: An approach of quantitative type was used where survey data was used and taken among the managerial employees in the manufacturing companies. The hypothesized relationships and mediation effects were tested with structural equation modeling (SEM).
Findings: The findings indicated that GSCM greatly improves organizational performance. It was also revealed that innovation and quality management have a major mediating effect, and GSCM enhances performance directly and indirectly by enhancing internal capabilities.
Practical implications: The results indicate that the managers must incorporate green practices and innovation strategies as well as quality systems in order to deliver high quality performance. GSCM should also be encouraged by policymakers in order to improve sustainability and competitiveness.
Originality/Value: The research is valuable because it forms a dual mediation model that elucidates the role of GSCM in driving organizational performance by means of innovation and quality management, and which can be broadly used in research and practice.
