Physical activity plays a crucial role in the physical and psychological development of children. In recent years, increasing academic pressure, excessive screen time, and sedentary lifestyles have contributed to mental health challenges among children and adolescents. The present study investigates the relationship between physical activity and mental health among children, focusing on psychological well-being, emotional stability, and social behavior. A quantitative research design was adopted, and data were collected from school-going children through structured questionnaires and observation methods. The findings indicate that children who participate regularly in sports and physical activities demonstrate lower levels of anxiety, improved mood, enhanced concentration, and stronger social interactions compared to inactive children. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating physical activity programs into school curricula and community environments to promote mental well-being among children. The results highlight that regular exercise contributes not only to physical health but also to improved emotional resilience and cognitive development. Therefore, educational institutions, parents, and policymakers must prioritize physical activity as an essential component of child development.
