This research examines the aerodynamic behavior of a NACA 4412 airfoil under subsonic flow conditions. The behavior is examined in term of lift and drag and lift-drag ratio which are produced because of air attacking the airfoil. For a C-type geometry, lift is calculated against different values of angle of attack and different values of inlet velocity. The mathematical model comprises the two-dimensional continuity and Navier-Stokes equations along with the two additional equations of Standard k-ε turbulence model to capture the turbulence. The equations in the model are a set of nonlinear partial differential equations to be solved simultaneously. For this, we use finite volume method which a part of Fluent solver. All the tasks are performed on ANSYS Workbench.
