Water conservation presents an increasingly critical global challenge, necessitating innovative and integrated approaches. This manuscript introduces geo-management strategies as a holistic framework that bridges geological principles with modern management practices to achieve sustainable water conservation. We argue that a deep understanding of the Earth's geological context including hydrogeology, aquifer characteristics, and geological influences on water quality is fundamental to effective water resource management. Our methodology involved a comprehensive literature review to establish the theoretical foundations, a detailed analysis of existing policies and technologies, and an in-depth examination of diverse case studies. The findings consistently revealed that while geological factors profoundly dictate water availability and vulnerability, their systematic integration into water conservation policies and practices remains fragmented. We identified significant gaps in current approaches, particularly concerning sustainable groundwater governance and the consistent application of advanced geological insights in decision-making. Conversely, successful case studies highlighted the transformative impact of integrating geological understanding, from optimizing artificial recharge to implementing context-specific nature-based solutions. These insights underscore the urgent need for interdisciplinary collaboration, robust data integration platforms, and policy innovation that explicitly accounts for geological realities. The proposed geo-management framework aims to provide actionable strategies for policymakers, resource managers, and researchers, fostering a more resilient and sustainable future for global water resources by grounding conservation efforts in the Earth's natural systems.
