Abstract

Vaping has become an emerging health concern among university students, particularly due to increasing awareness and accessibility of electronic vaping products. This descriptive quantitative study examines awareness, practices, and perceived health effects of vaping among female university students. The study was conducted with a sample of 130 female university students selected through purposive sampling. Quantitative data were collected through a structured questionnaire covering participants' awareness of vaping, patterns of vaping practices, perceived health risks, and reported health effects. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to summarize participants' responses and identify general patterns related to vaping. The study focuses on students' knowledge about the contents and potential risks of vaping products, reasons associated with vaping, frequency and patterns of use, and awareness of possible physical and health consequences. The descriptive approach provides an overview of the participants' existing awareness and practices without establishing causal relationships between vaping and health outcomes. The study highlights the importance of accurate health information and preventive awareness among female university students. It further emphasizes the need for university based health education programs, awareness campaigns, and supportive interventions to improve students' understanding of vaping related health risks and encourage informed health related practices.
