Abstract

Nutrition plays a fundamental role in human growth, development, and the maintenance of a healthy immune system. Adequate intake of macronutrients and micronutrients is essential for proper physical growth, tissue repair, cognitive development, and immune defense mechanisms. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between nutrition, human growth, and immune system function. The research highlights how balanced diets rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals contribute to optimal body development and strengthen immunity against infectious and chronic diseases. Particular attention is given to the role of micronutrients such as vitamins A, C, D, E, zinc, iron, and selenium in regulating immune responses and supporting cellular functions. The study also examines the negative effects of malnutrition, undernutrition, and poor dietary habits on growth retardation, weakened immunity, and increased susceptibility to diseases. Using a qualitative and analytical approach based on existing scientific literature, the findings demonstrate that proper nutrition significantly improves immune resilience, supports healthy growth throughout life stages, and reduces health risks. The study concludes that promoting nutritional awareness and balanced dietary practices is essential for achieving long-term human health and disease prevention.
