The Indo Pacific region is emerging as a key battleground of the present day global politics. It's very significant because of its vast ocean surface connecting the Indian and Pacific Oceans, in terms of trade, economic development, energy transportation and geo-political competition. In recent years Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) comprising of Australia, India, Japan and the United States has emerged as an important forum to stay committed to a rules-based international order, security and stability in the Indo Pacific region. This article explores the strategic significance of the Indo Pacific as the Quad Alliance evolved and acted in some specific ways. It indicates that the Quad is gaining salience in addressing regional security issues, its maritime security and countering the role of the growing China in the region. The study emphasizes through a qualitative analysis and secondary sources how the Quad has come forward as one of the key players in shaping the geopolitics of the Indo Pacific and for peace, economic resilience and strategic collaboration in the region as an informal alliance. Keywords: Indo Pacific, Quad Alliance, Maritime Security, Regional Security, Geopolitics and International Relations.Downloads
