The lack of proper medical care, as well as the problem of older patients or people with motor disabilities, require the intensive use of the remote patient monitoring solutions. In this paper, we will introduce the DigitalHealth solution which is an extensive IoT-based system to effectively track the health of patients in real-time and offer powerful responses to it. The structure comprises of Perception, Network, and Application layers. Critical health data like pulse rate, body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, etc., are perceived at the perception layer over smartly integrated sensors and wearables via Arduino Uno. The sensor data was stored in real time at the cloud storage platform of AWS, which was insecurely transferred. Addition of high networking features in the Network layer provides reliable data transmission. An easy-to-use Android application will inform the healthcare professionals with graphical indications of the health parameters of the patient to make informed decisions. The suggested architecture will significantly decrease the number of visits to the hospital and the cost of the medical services relied on through the use of the IoT technology and health wearables, as well as will improve accessibility and affordability. It is a holistic solution that demonstrates the possibility of a higher level of results in remote patient monitoring, combining cloud computing, IoT, and mobile applications.
